Lease Local was born out of a frustration I know firsthand. I own and manage commercial properties, and for years I kept hoping someone would build a simpler way to market spaces for lease.
We all drive by storefronts and commercial spaces with “For Lease” signs that never show up on the major listing sites. Many existing platforms are expensive, complicated, and geared toward larger properties and sale transactions. Smaller spaces can easily get lost in the mix, or never get listed at all.
Meanwhile, small businesses are looking for exactly those kinds of spaces and may never know they’re available.

What is Lease Local?
Lease Local is a commercial rental marketplace for small business tenants and the people who have space to fill. It is commercial only, office suites, storefronts and retail bays, warehouse and flex space, medical and dental suites, restaurant space and commercial land. No apartments, no houses, and no for-sale inventory padding your search results.
Most commercial listing sites are built for institutional brokers and priced for them, which leaves the 1,200 square foot storefront on Main Street and the small warehouse behind it nearly invisible online. Those are exactly the spaces we carry. Every listing comes from the property owner, the listing agent, or a lister acting on their behalf, and when you send a message it goes straight to that person, not to a lead broker who resells your contact information.
For business tenants, Lease Local is free: free to search, free to create an account, free to save listings and free to message owners and agents. For owners and agents, creating and publishing a listing is free through February 1, 2027, after which it is a flat monthly price per listing with no commission and no long-term contract. Standard agent commissions still apply when an agent is involved in your deal, that is between you and your agent, separate from what Lease Local charges.
We cover the entire United States, and we are adding local vendors, movers, contractors, signage shops, IT, attorneys, so a business opening a new location can handle the whole move in one place.

- Is Lease Local free to use?
- It is always free for business tenants, searching, saving listings and messaging owners or agents never costs anything and never requires a card. If you have space to list, creating and publishing your listing is free through February 1, 2027. After that it is a flat monthly price per listing that you can pause whenever your space is filled.
- Who lists space on Lease Local?
- Property owners, landlords and licensed leasing agents, plus listers posting on an owner's behalf. Agents are license-verified before their profile appears in our agent directory. When you message a listing, the reply comes from whoever controls that space.
- Do I need a broker to lease a space here?
- No. You can contact an owner directly and negotiate on your own. Plenty of tenants still prefer having an agent represent them, and you can find one in our agent directory, just know that standard agent commissions apply when an agent is involved, separate from anything Lease Local charges.
- What areas do you cover?
- Lease Local covers the whole United States. You can search any US city for office, retail, warehouse, industrial, flex and land space, and new listings arrive every week as owners and agents join. Browse by market above to see what is available near you.
- How long does it take to post a listing?
- Most owners publish in under ten minutes. You can paste an old ad, a flyer or a few notes and our AI drafts the listing details for you, you review, add photos and publish. Drafts save automatically, so you can start now and finish later.
